Here at the Prichard Public Library we offer two branches to serve the citizens of Prichard! Our main branch is located at 300 Love Joy Loop West adjacent to downtown Prichard. Our second location serves our residents to the north in Eight-Mile, and is located at 4440 High Point Blvd. Here at the Prichard Public Library we offer a variety of services to aid our Patrons with school, work, and community needs. A few of the services we offer are Computer Usage, Local Fax and Copy Services, and a Great Variety of Books and Reference Materials.

The Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce welcomes you to the City of Prichard.

Prichard began as a settlement in the 1830's bordering the Telegraph Road (known now as U.S Highway 43) It remained largely unsettled until the Clotilde landed in Mobile Bay prior to the Civil War. Africatown evolved into a greater part of the Plateau/Magazine area which developed along Telegraph Road, and eventually, Plateau and Magazine had their territory split between Mobile and Prichard.

Today, the City of Prichard has emerged into a growing city. Despite the city's rocky past, the City of Prichard has been reborn. The city is alive, full of new subdivisions, an awesome golf course, and businesses. We invite you to explore our Web site and learn what we have to offer you, your family and your business.
